Thank you for your interest in my re-election to the Iowa State Senate! Due to redistricting, the Senate District I represent will be changing. Although I still represent Howard, Chickasaw, and northwest Winneshiek County, the new Senate District includes Mitchell, Floyd, Worth, and eastern Cerro Gordo counties.
I have worked hard these past four years to keep the focus of the legislature on economic issues, including job growth and other important middle class family issues like preserving education standards and health care access for Iowa’s children and seniors. I will continue to work to preserve funding for basic education and for our community colleges so Iowans can have the job training they need. Lowering property taxes for our small businesses and homeowners will also be an issue I continue to fight for.

The Relay for Life in New Hampton was an impressive event. A large number of people that participated, and many survivors and caregivers shared their stories. We saw a real strong range of emotions.
